Amy Work Fourth Grade One of the truths that I have been learning throughout my life is found in James 4:8 which says, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” As I teach, one of my desires is that my students learn to draw near to God and know His truth more deeply. Learning is very much tied to knowing God as we study His creation, His order, and His beauty. In learning about the world around them and the people who inhabit it, I hope to bring students to a better understanding of their Maker as they draw near to God and He draws near to them. Children have always held a certain charm and appeal for Amy. Even at an early age, she took delight in caring for and teaching those younger than herself. As she grew, the Lord worked in her heart to call her to the field of education. Amy attended Covenant College and received her BA in Elementary Education. During her time at Covenant, she helped in Sunday school for preschool children and tutored 1st grade students. Amy finds the greatest delight in 3rd and 4th grade students and is thrilled to be teaching the 4th grade class this year. Amy’s passion is to help students reach the full potential with which God has blessed them and teach them to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever as they work and live. |
