Melissa Rutherford Music "I feel that my responsibility as an ECCS teacher is to come alongside the parents of my students to more effectively train their children as they grow in wisdom, stature and in favor with God and man. My prayer for my students is found in Philippians 1:9-10. 'That your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ.'" Melissa graduated in 1976 from Baylor University with a BS in Education. She has taught primarily in Christian schools although her first teaching job was in the DeKalb County School System. She has approximately 15 years of experience teaching the primary grades. Melissa joined the ECCS faculty in 2000 teaching 3rd grade and is very thankful to be a part of such a Christ-centered school. She began teaching music in 2008. |
