Nancy Olsen Middle School Science Nancy was raised in an environment that fostered a love of nature. She enjoys teaching here at ECCS where she can share this passion and have the freedom to point to the Creator of it all. It is her desire that her students will be able to look at the things that have been made and clearly see God's invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature. (Romans 1:20)
Nancy has a B.S. in Biology and a master's degree in Secondary Biology Education. Prior to entering the teaching profession, Nancy worked as a Cytogenetic Technician in the field of Genetic Toxicology. God led her to enter the teaching field where she taught Biology and Anatomy and Physiology for five years at Holy Name Central Catholic High School in Worcester, Massachusetts. During her last two years at Holy Name, Nancy was the science department head and taught Anatomy and Physiology at Becker Junior College.
After her first son was born Nancy left full time teaching to raise her family. Nancy is married to Stephen Olsen. They have two boys that have attended ECCS since their kindergarten years. Prior to joining the ECCS middle school staff in the fall of 2002, Nancy taught labs and gave science presentations to various grades at ECCS. |
