Peggy Burgess

Third Grade

My prayer for my class is from Colossians 1:9-10:  “For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.  And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way…”

“As a third grade teacher at ECCS I want to join with parents in teaching their children that true knowledge begins with a reverence for God.”

Peggy is a native of Atlanta and graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Elementary Education.  She first taught sixth grade in Dekalb County.  After she got married, Peggy taught third and fourth grades in Greenville, SC, and fourth and fifth grades in Birmingham, AL.  She left teaching to raise three daughters, and enjoyed being active in their schools through those years.  She also taught pre-school for four years while her daughters were in school. She is delighted to be teaching third grade at ECCS!
