Family – Amy was born in Dallas, Texas, but was raised in Roswell, Georgia.  She has also lived in Tallahassee, Florida, various cities in California, Pinewood Springs, Colorado, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She is not married, and is thrilled to be an aunt to one niece and one nephew.

 

Education –Amy holds a bachelors degree in biology from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA.  She has also taken classes at the University of Colorado at Boulder, Florida State University and University of California Bodega Marine Lab.

 

Professional –Amy has traveled extensively. She has worked in the Channel Island Marine Sanctuary and on the Channel Islands as a naturalist. She has also worked on the southern California coast with children and adults. In 2006, she spent 6 months on staff with a Christian school teaching biology, physical science and marine science to the 8th-10th grades.

 

Hobbies – Amy enjoys camping, reading, gardening, animal rescue, and has recently taken up indoor rock climbing.
